My Story

I was raised on a 24 acre farm in Oregon. During the summers, we grew and sold strawberries and cut flowers. My favorite part was helping my mom create flower bouquets for the weekend farmers market. It was hard work but I loved spending time walking through the field picking all the flowers and creating something beautiful with them.

Eventually I went off to college. When I graduated, I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Around this time my childhood best friend moved to Hood River. I came to visit her and instantly fell in love with the area. Within two weeks I had found a job and moved here. Over the course of 18 years, I worked hard to build a career and buy my dream home. But in the back of my mind, it always felt like something was missing. Then a close friend was getting married and asked if I could help out. I created arrangements for their special day and afterwards I realized what I had been missing in my life, flowers.

In 2020, I started Wild Peony Flower Farm which is named after my favorite flower, the amazing peony. As you can imagine, I have a lot of peonies but I also grow a variety of other flowers. I am a one women show with the occasion help from my handsome partner Brian. All the flowers are started by seed and grown on the farm using organic methods. I love every step along the way from having my hands in the dirt to playing with color and texture to create beautiful arrangements. My goal is to provide the community with farm fresh flowers and to spread a little bit of joy and beauty through flowers.
